He is the President of the Joe Lewis Association, USA Kickboxing Team Coach, and a highly trained martial artist across multiple fighting styles. Be sure to bring a pair of boxing gloves and standard gym gear. Also beneficial if you have it: a proper mouth guard (we train safe but just in case...), shin guards. For seminars that include sparring, head gear is also highly recommended.
Attendees at this event will be coming from mixed backgrounds, including those which do not use elbows, knees, or kicks. Phil has an extensive background working with boxers and is able to provide adaptations for you to apply concepts being taught within the strikes used in your style.
Some training experience is recommended. If you’re consistent in training and can follow coached drilling, you’ll do great.
